ANTIGONE 1
This is a montage of excerpts from the first half of Troy University's 2003 production of Antigone, directed by Adena Moree.  The concept of this production combined the classical Greek drama with tribal elements, evocative of Mediterranean cultures. The choral odes were set to music and executed in live performance.  The score for this piece won recognition at the KC-ACTF state level with a Lois Garren award in music for the theater.  It was also recognized nationally by the Kennedy Center Organization.  Thomas Newman was honored in Washington for his work and received a month-long fellowship in Waterford, Connecticut at the O'Neill Theater Center's summer workshop for musical theater.
