This avant-garde dance piece was performed by the Second Avenue Dance Company in New York in the Spring of 2005. Conceived by choreographers Anita Fillmore and Kyle Abraham, the piece was intended to be a somewhat disturbing realization of the destructiveness of addiction. The final two minutes of the dance features a chorus of dancers popping pills and doing enormous lines of cocaine as they swirl about the suspended body of a young woman. The chorus tortures her and eventually overtakes the woman.
